“Smart” thinking leads to a projected lift in savings from 37% to 50% for one of UK’s largest gym chains.

Our smart motor solution has been piloted in one of the UK’s largest gym chains replacing 2 induction motors on a like for like basis achieving savings of 37%.

But the savings are projected to go even further.

This is because our smart motor system also uniquely allows direct inputs from a range of sensors enabling dynamic control of motors to drive additional savings.

First, our ‘smart’ thinking developers and engineers are installing a Co2 sensor, to monitor and maintain the air quality within the gym, which our motors are dynamically controlling.

Projected savings increase from 37% to 50% because of this unique intervention.

Our next innovation will be “time clocking”. When the gym empties motors slow down but “time clocking” will also switch off the motors when the gym is closed. This will increase savings even further.

Controlled locally within the smart motor system, there’s no need to even involve the sophisticated Building Management system, bringing instantaneous savings.

The client is really excited to present savings back to the board and with 60 or so of these sites the scope for savings is huge.
